Funeral services for Norm "Stormin Norman" Johnson, 55, East Moline, are 10 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Colona American Legion will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Norm died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. He was born February 6, 1950 in Rock Island, the son of Raymond and Gladys (Phillips) Johnson. He married Renee Vilet Roberson, August 12, 2000 in East Moline. Norman was a Quality Assurance Specialist with the Rock Island Arsenal. He served as past commander at the Colona American Legion. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Norm loved life, and his greatest joys were his grandchildren, his friends and the river. Survivors include his wife Renee, children and spouses Shawn M (Angie) Johnson, Tempe, AZ, Chad M. (Teri) Johnson, Nashville, TN, Kelly Findley, Geneseo, Marie (Philip) Slowick, Eldridge, IA and Mike (Tammy) Findley, Davenport, sixteen grandchildren, his mother Gladys Lannen, Aurora, sisters Patty (Greg) Johnson, Seattle, WA, and Dee Dee Hampton, Aurora, IL and brothers Wally Johnson, Arkansas and Larry (Rhonda) Johnson, Andalusia.
