Ora J. Palmer, widow of James F. Palmer, died January 8, 2012 at her home. Ora lived in Hampton from 1967 until her death. She and her husband, "Jim" owned and operated Jimora Decorators in East Moline and Hampton for a number of years. Ora is survived by her children: Jeanne Brand (Richard) of Alton, IL; Georgia Tufts (Michael) of Bloomington, IL; James Brewer of Chicago, IL; and Dale Brewer of Omaha, NE. Grandchildren: Vicki Williams (Stephen) of Dallas, TX; Michael Brand (Lynn) of Springfield, IL; Joe Brown of Springfield, IL; Michael (Kate) Brewer of Enid, OK; Natalie Schmitt (Denver) of Streamwood, IL; Kimberly Brewer of Chicago, IL; Megan Brewer of San Diego, CA; Sarah (Matt) Donahue of Marshall, MI. Great-grandchildren: Ted Williams of Saratoga Springs, NY; Liam Williams & Kate Williams of Dallas, TX; Lauren Brand & Megan Brand of Springfield, IL; Sophie Donahue & Deklin Donahue of Marshall, MI. At Ora's request there will be no visitation prior to the service. Friends are welcome to join the family for funeral services to be held at the graveside at 1PM Saturday, January 14th at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. To keep with Mrs. Palmer's wishes, those attending services are asked to arrive at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline by 12:30 PM to travel in procession to the cemetery.
