Obituary

Patricia A. Liedtke , 77, of East Moline, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at her home in East Moline.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, July 23rd, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. A Rosary will be recited 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 22nd, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation following from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Anne's Gardening Club or to St. Anne Catholic Church.

Patricia was born December 12, 1946, in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Lester and Elvera Sundine Bohnert. She married Darrel D. Liedtke on September 5, 1964, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline.

She was a Registered Nurse and Director of Nursing at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.

Patricia was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. She was a master gardener and president of the St. Anne's Gardening Club. Her interests included genealogy, and she published a book on the subject. Patricia and Darrel loved traveling to Mexico with family and friends. Patricia also traveled across Europe and visited with the Pope. She loved animals and caring for her pets, especially her beloved Golden Doodle "Murphy".

Surviving are her husband, Darrel; sons, Todd Liedtke and Christopher (Teresa) Liedtke; granddaughter, Alexis Liedtke (Adam Simonsen); great granddaughter, Evelyn Simonsen; siblings, Beverly (Ed) Stoneburg, James (Wanda) Bohnert, Theresa (Doug) Gowdy, Theodore (Marci) Bohnert, and Lester (Becky) Bohnert; sister-in-law, Georgia Bohnert; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

Patricia was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel Liedtke; parents; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Wayne Reeter; and brother, John Bohnert.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Bender and Debra Schnoor, NP, and staff at University of Iowa Hospital. Her many dear friends from and people associated with the NormaLeah Ovarian Cancer Initiative were extremely supportive and helpful during her many years of illness. She also enjoyed many friendships garnered from her involvement with Gilda's Club of the Quad Cities.
