Patricia Downing , 92, of Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 AM prior to services. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum.

Patricia Bolk was born April 5, 1932, in Renville County, MN, the daughter of Anton and Viola Denker Bolk. She married James Downing February 4, 1950, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Rapids City, IL. He passed away August 11, 1992.

She had worked as a secretary for the Moline School Board and later retired from John Deere. Pat was dedicated to her family and enjoyed every occasion with them. She loved to play cards and tend to her flowers. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include her children, Jackie Mital, Rock Island, IL, and Chuck (Marcia) Downing, Moline; grandchildren, Michelle (Sean) Dean, Mike (Deborah) Mital, Tony (Bethany) Mital, and Tricia (Alan) Eaves; 9 great grandchildren; and siblings, Bernard (Jackie) Bolk, Moline, Ronald (Joann) Bolk, Port Byron, IL, Diane Oberhardt (Dennis Smith), Hampton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
