Patricia J. "Pat" Hess, 85, of East Moline, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.  A funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline, Ill.  Memorials may be made in care of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Patricia was born in Davenport, Iowa on May 12, 1937, a daughter of Albert and Cleo Moore Wiederkehr.  She married Quinn A. Hess on September 25, 1954 in Davenport, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on December 25, 2014.

Patricia was an active member of Foursquare Church, East Moline, where she enjoyed participating in many church activities.  She enjoyed traveling with Quinn selling antiques, as Pat's antiques.  She was also a proud supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Patti (James) Carlson, Silvis, Ill.; granddaughter, Emily (Lawrence) Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Carrington, Autumn, Ellen, Jude, Kaiden, Connor and Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Michael, grandsons, Eric and Lance and brother, William.
