Funeral services for Patricia A. Purcell, 79, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00AM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Purcell died Monday, May 6, 2013 at her home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church, Colona, IL. Patricia Edwards was born September 14, 1933 in Mulkeytown, IL, the daughter of Hampton and Pauline Pharis Edwards. She married Robert Purcell January 8, 1949 in Morgansfield, KY. He died December 6, 2002.In their earlier years she and her husband enjoyed camping. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her life revolved around her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara DeGreve, East Moline, (fiance, Jim Reynolds, Rock Island); son, William Purcell, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Keith (Meg), Melissa (Jason), Matthew, Amanda, Jeffrey, Shane, and Farah; 10 great grandchildren; half brother, Randy Edwards, IL; special cousin, Judy Miller, Christopher, IL.
