Funeral services for Patrick J. Danley, 81, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Thursday at the funeral home, where the Moline Masonic Lodge 1014 will conduct services at 6:45PM. Mr. Danley died Tuesday September 28, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline or to the family. Pat was born September 14, 1929 in Moline, IL, the son of Jack Joseph and Bessie Barron Danley. He attended Moline and Rock Island Schools. He married Joyce Andeway June 30, 1956 in Bethel Methodist Church, Moline. In his early years he had worked for Desaulniers Printing, Moline. He co-owned the Herald Printing, East Moline, since 1972, semi retiring in 1995. He had been an active member of the Downtown East Moline Business Association, member of Christ United Methodist, East Moline, Moline Masons, Past President of the East Moline Lions Club. He had enjoyed going to the Indianapolis 500 for the past 50 years. He loved his grandchildren, his MG, and his dog, Shannon. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Danley of Silvis, daughter, Patti (Rick) Widdel of Davenport, IA; son, Jon (Tricia) Danley of East Moline; grandchildren, Jessica Voorhies, Phoenix, AZ, Lori (Nate)Bader, Bettendorf, IA, Lindsey Voorhies, Moline, Ian, Kaitlyn, and Emily Danley, East Moline; great-grandson, Cale Bader; sister, Kathleen Thompson, Moline; several nieces and nephews; special "2nd daughter" Sandy Buser of Colona, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Jacob Danley, sisters, Jacqueline Quinn and Barbara Witting, brother, William C. Danley.
