Funeral services for Patti L. McDanel, 84, of East Moline, IL, will be 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. McDanel died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Patti Landis was born July 5, 1928 in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Charles and Neola Meeker Landis. She married Max McDanel September 18, 1948. He died in 2008. In her earlier years, Patti had worked at the LeClaire Hotel, Moline. She and her husband belonged to numerous fraternal organizations, most recently the Lakeland Florida American Legion. They enjoyed many years camping at Lundeen's Landing near Joslin, IL. She enjoyed all NASCAR racing, especially Jimmy Johnson. Patti was always "29 years old." Survivors include her daughter, JoEllen and Regie Bacorn, East Moline; son Rick (Alice) McDanel, Oskaloosa, IA; grandchildren, Nikki Bacorn, Joel (Julie) Bacorn, Jenny McDanel (Brandon Jarvis), and Josh McDanel; great-grandchildren, Reilly, Ryan, Levi.
