Paul L. Markle, 88, East Moline, died Saturday, June 13, 2014 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Memorial services are 10 AM Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Inurnment is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday June 25, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hope Creek Care Center Memory Unit. Paul was born on August 6, 1925 in Danville, IL, the son of Earl and June (Cress) Markle. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Bonnie Allison on April 20, 1963 in Peoria, IL. Paul worked as a parts manager for Cummings Illinois Engine sales and retired in 2000 from River City Ford. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, and the East Moline American Legion Post 227. Mr. Markle attended an Honor Flight. Paul dearly loved his grand children and great grandchildren and cherished his time with them. Survivors include his wife Bonnie, children, Paul (Judy) Markle, Tucson, AZ, Keith (Cheryl) Markle, Sparland, IL, Marcia (Tony) Seabolt, Rock Island and Tom (Robin) Markle, Port Byron, nine grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a sister Doris (Conrad) Wantland, Tilton, IL.
