Paul E. Stamper, 84, Moline, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island. Visitation will be 5-7PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Graveside services are 1:30 PM Monday at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Anyone wishing to attend services should meet at the funeral home by 1PM. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or to Riverbend Food Bank. Paul was born on August 11, 1931 in Brown Branch, MO, the son of Loda and Willmetta (Cunningham) Stamper. He married Juanita Herrell in 1951 and they had a daughter Paulette. He later married Jane Fawks in 1965. Jane passed away in 1992. After Jane's death, Paul found his lady love, Belva Waterman. Belva and her family had been an important part of his life for the past 23 years. Paul was a Route Salesman for Downing's Dairy and later retired from Swiss Valley Farm's Dairy after 38 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, and was a retired Teamster. He enjoyed traveling to Port Aransas, TX, playing golf and fishing. Survivors include his daughter Paulette (Stephen) Stamp, Ankeny, IA, grandchildren; Jessica (Mark) Willett, Oskaloosa, IA and Gregory Paul (Amanda) Stamp, Vadnais Heights, MN, great-grandchildren, Trevor and Dylan Willett and Kara Stamp, his dear friend, Belva Waterman, and her family, and sister-in-law Helen Walker, Chicago. In addition to his wife Jane, he was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pauline and brother Troy.
