Pauline A. Claeys, 86, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. She asked that her family not be sad, but to remember happy times and to enjoy their families and friends. She was born on February 17, 1923 in Moline, IL, the daughter of John and Josephine Pospisil. She grew up in East Moline and married Albert J. Claeys on May 6, 1944. He died in May, 1987. Pauline was a homemaker and later was employed by the Rock Island Arsenal where she retired in 1987. She had been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Suzanne Claeys, Bettendorf, her daughter-in-law Suzanne Claeys of Thomson; grandsons, Scott Claeys, Stevens Point, WI, and Michael J. Claeys, Rock Island, IL, ;granddaughters, Kathleen Froehlich, Sunbury, OH and Angela Tuftee, Thomson, IL; sister-in-law Julia Hogan, Moline, IL; 10 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
