Funeral services for Pauline Gomez, 69, East Moline, are 10 AM Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6PM. Pauline was called to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at her home surrounded by those who loved her. After fighting for so long to stay with her family, she is now in a beautiful place with our Father, without pain and suffering. Her strength will carry us through life's journeys of good times and struggles. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Church to have masses said in Pauline's name. She was born June 25, 1940 in Savanna, Illinois. She married Jose Gomez on April 28, 1967 in Rock Island. Pauline was the finest wife mother and grandmother a family could ever wish for. Survivors include her husband Jose, children; Dora (Daniel) Bukofchan of Brookville, IN their children; Jadah, Danny Jr., Payton, Joe Gomez of East Moline and his children; Christopher, Natali, Ryan, Madison, Ellie, Joseph Jr. and Dianna (Cesar) Casas of East Moline and their children; Rocio, Alicia and Antonio.
