Funeral services for Pauline T. Soliz, 65, of Dixon, IL, formerly of Silvis, IL, will be 10 AM Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, where a rosary will be recited at 3 PM. Miss Soliz passed away, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL.

Pauline was born August 14, 1959, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Paul and Rita Rangel Soliz.

She graduated High school from the Illinois School of the Visually Impaired in Jacksonville, IL. She worked as a material handler in conjunction with Kreider Services in Dixon, IL.

Pauline was a bright light and full of life. She deeply cherished all of her family and friends. She was an accomplished runner in the special Olympics and liked to walk. She took great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially a good meal—always made better with dessert and a favorite pop. She found joy in listening to her favorite television shows and movies—especially classics like Happy Days and The Brady Bunch. A devoted Chicago Bears fan and wrestling enthusiast who also loved flowers and gardening.

Survivors include her siblings, Paul (Leticia) Soliz, Chicago, IL, Susan (Miguel) Cruz, Sacramento, CA, Julia Soliz (Santos Salazar), Moline, Phillip (Sarah) Soliz, Sherrard, IL, Angie Sandoval, East Moline, and Valerie (Gerardo) Vargas, East Moline;23 nieces and nephews; 49 great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sarah Soliz, Maria Elena Soliz, and Henry Soliz; and nephew, Joseph Velez; and brother-in-law, Tom Sandoval.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
