Funeral services for Pearl Rose Tank, 89, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Tank died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Aspen Rehab and Health Care, Silvis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Pearl Griffin was born January 6, 1920 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Myrtle (Nelson) Griffin. She married Wilbur Edward "Buck" Tank August 31, 1946 in Rock Island, IL. He died November 17, 1978. She had served as a Wave in the US Navy during WWII. She had worked at AMETEK, East Moline and then retired from American Air Filter in the early 1980's. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She loved visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Edwin Winkelbauer of Chandler, AZ, Patricia and Al Brady of Durant, OK, Sherri Apisa of Silvis; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Terry Tank of Mesa, AZ, Ralph and Sheryl Tank of New Windsor, IL, Scott and Jamie Tank of Tucson, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judith and Larry Liedtke Colona, IL, Ferne and Archie Gaumer of Port Byron, IL; brother-in-law Harold Hellgren of Silvis; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Eleanor Moss, Barbara Nielsen, and Marjorie Hellgren, brothers, Ralph Griffin Jr. and Floyd Griffin.
