Pearle L. Curran, 94, East Moline, passed away on February 20, 2017 at Genesis Illini, Silvis. Memorial services are 11:30 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline. Visitation is from 10:30 AM until service time. Private committal will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Pearle was born April 28, 1922 in Granville, IL, the daughter of Nick and Leta (Groves) Burman. She married Leonard Curran on January 5, 1946 in Spring Valley, IL. He died on January 1, 1990. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses for most of her life, she loved to study the Bible. She faithfully attended meetings each week – even in her later years, when she lovingly received help from dear friends who transported her. Her favorite location in life was Starved Rock. In their youth, the Currans spent many hours touring there on his motor scooter, usually stopping for a picnic lunch. Even as a widow, she returned there every year with great delight. When times got tough, she loved to quote Jesus: "Let your Kingdom Come!". Here friends now smile continuing with her favorite quote! Survivors include her sister Carol (Burdette) Mills, Granville. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Garrett who died in 1965.
