Pedro T. Casas, 69, of Silvis, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center – Illini Campus, Silvis.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline.  A rosary will be recited at 4 pm Monday, November 21, 2022 followed by visitation from 4:30 – 7 pm at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.

Pedro was born on May 19, 1953 in Saltillo, Mexico, a son of Isidro and Delfina Trevino Casas.  He married Maria Rocha in Chicago, Illinois.

Pedro was the owner and operator of San Luis Food Market which he opened in 1980.

Pedro was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline.  He was an avid sports card collector.  He was also passionate about driving and loved being on the open road.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Maria Casas, Silvis; son, Aaron (Gabriela) Casas, East Moline; grandchildren, Aaron Casas Jr. and Daniela and Alexa Casas; sisters, Zandra Perez and Irma Casas, both of Fort Worth, Texas; nephew, Luis Casas; niece, Esperanza Silvestre; and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Blanca Villanueva, Aurora Salazar, Beatrice Garcia and an infant sister.
