Obituary

Funeral services for Peggy L. Miller, 64, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be from 10:00-1:00PM at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Peggy died Friday, November 7, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, IL. Peggy Allman was born June 21, 1950 in Ottumwa, IA, the daughter of Donald and Phyllis Lynch Allman. She was a graduate of Cardinal High School, Eldon, IA, Class of 1968. She married Gary Miller August 21, 1970, in Eldon. In her earlier years she had worked at the Moline Maid Rite. She retired from IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, East Moline, after 18 years of service. During their early years of marriage, Peggy and Gary provided a foster home for 7 foster kids at various times. She enjoyed reading, playing games on her computer, gambling when she could get out, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many and loved by all. Survivors include her husband, Gary Miller, East Moline; daughter, Wendy S. (Tim) Smith, Hampton, IL; son, Scott R. Miller, East Moline; special children, Dawn (Tom) Paxton, Port Byron and Dianna (Lin) Miller, Tuttle, OK; grandchildren, Logan Miller, Emma and Ella Smith; special grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jennifer Paxton, and Anthony Miller; mother, Phyllis Allman, Eldon; siblings, Cindy (Tom) Johnson, Eldon, IA, Donna (Dennis) Jeffrey, Eldon, Susan Dee, Eldon, Tommy Allman, Agency, IA, Diana Allman, Agency, Danny (Kathy) Allman, Eldon, Sherri (Rob) Moore, Eldon, Terri (Greg) Greiner, Agency; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her father; brother-in-law, Gary Dee; nephew, Jordan Johnson;and her beloved dog, Chopper. Memorials may be made to Pulmonary Hypertension Association or Bethany Home.
