Funeral services for Peggy M. Versluys, 83, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at Wildwood Baptist Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. Versluys died Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Peggy McCaulley was born August 24, 1930, in Hiteman, IA, the daughter of Dewey and Bertha Tidball McCaulley. She married Ernest "Ike" Versluys August 28, 1948 in Davenport, IA. In her earlier years, she had worked at the Buddy L. Toy Factory, East Moline, the Licorice Factory, Moline, and the Daily Dispatch, Moline. She was an avid knitter and crocheter. Peggy had been a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who deeply loved the Lord. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Ike Versluys, Silvis; daughters, Pat Wood, Jefferson City, MO, and Chris (Lloyd) Duncan, Hampton, IL; son, Dave (Connie) Versluys, Moline; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Wolfgram, Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruth Wolfgram, and brother, Robert McCaulley. Memorials may be made to the Hope Creek Care Center Activity Fund.
