Funeral services for Peter C. Loete Jr., 82, of East Moline, IL, will be 11.00 AM Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Mr. Loete died Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Clermont, FL. Memorials may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimer's Association. Pete was born October 27, 1925 in East Moline, the son of Peter and Emma (Roman) Loete. While serving in the US Navy during WWII, he had been a Pharmacists Mate. He married Doris (Brockrogge)March December 6, 1958 in East Moline. She died September 14, 1998. Pete retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline in 1985, after 41 years of service. Pete had been and active member of St. John Lutheran Church and had been a member of the East Moline American Legion Post 227. Survivors include: son, Paul Loete of Silvis, IL; step daughter, Diana Castro of Moline, IL, step son and daughter-in-law, David and Terry March of Clermont, FL; grandchildren, Cristina, Michael, Anthony, Joseph, Matthew, David, and Erica; great grandchildren, Nathan and Owen.
