Funeral services for Peter P Lulich, 71, Moline, formerly of Silvis and Oceanside California, are 10 AM Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 7 PM. Pete died Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center West Campus, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Pete was born June 29, 1934 in Moline, the son of Thomas and Helen (Barricevich) Lulich. He retired in 1984 as a production manager from Sergeant Industries, San Diego, CA. He served in the US Army. Pete was very proud of his Croatian heritage and was particularly fond of the music and dancing. He was a member of the Croatian Crest Club and Croatian Fraternal Union of America. He enjoyed playing poker in the Casino's in Las Vegas and the Quad Cities. Pete was a friend to everyone and especially appreciated those who visited while he was in the nursing home. Survivors include sisters Eva Theuninck, East Moline, Mary Johnson, East Moline and Helen Stohl, Cleveland, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
