Funeral services for Peter H. Huber, 79, of Hampton, IL, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at St Mary's Catholic Church, Hampton. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mr. Huber died Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Tulane Medical Center, New Orleans, LA. Pete was born February 10, 1937 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Rock Island, IL, the son of Arthur Jacob and Margaret Hall Huber. He was a graduate of United Township High School and attended Iowa State University, Ames, IA. He married Una Yvonne "Bonnie" Rexroth September 15, 1956, in Hampton. He was a Union Ironworker for 45 years. He lived and loved to work all types of construction, every day. He enjoyed traveling; camping, horses, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed lunches with his close friends, Norm, Tracie, Russ, Sue, and Tony. Pete adored his wife. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bonnie Huber, Hampton; children, Cindy (Craig) Koppen, New Orleans, Jake Huber (DeDee Dieterich), and Tere (Mark) Burrill; grandchildren, Miranda Huber DeBroeck, Laura Burrill, and Amanda Burrill who he loved to take on vacations especially to Walt Disney; great grandchildren, Alexis Pruden, Paul Jackob Pruden, and Connor DeBroeck; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Debra Claire Mettee) Rexroth; nieces and nephews, Natalie Frutiger, Robyn Wangelin, Jean Ward, Steve Huber, Tim Rexroth, and Deana Rexroth; his special dog, Ming. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert and William Huber; and niece, Susan Huber Spencer. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church 708 State Avenue, Hampton, IL.
