Memorial services for Philip N. "Phil" Mosley, 67, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm. Mr. Mosley died Saturday, April 8, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. Phil was born January 24, 1950, in Centerville, IA, the son of LeRoy and Clara Watts Mosley. He was a graduate of Alleman High School Class of 1968. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He married Patricia Herrera November 11, 1972, in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. He had worked at East Moline Metal and retired from McLaughlin Body, retiring in 2013 after 30 years of service. He was an animal lover, enjoyed fishing and shooting pics with the guys on the pic league. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Pat Mosley, East Moline; sons, Bryan (Sara) Mosley, Broomfield, CO, Kevin Mosley, Davenport, IA, and Greg (Beth) Mosley, Moline; grandchildren, Nathaniel Philip Mosley and Aubrey Mosley; siblings, Dennis Mosley, Rock Island, IL, Dwight (Pennie) Mosley, Rock Island, and Toni Henseler, Rock Island; and his "granddog" Oliver. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bonnie Motley. Memorials may be made to the family.
