Funeral services for Phyllis Ann Gomez, 78, of Moline, IL will be at 10:00AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Garden, Silvis, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial fund has been established. Ms. Gomez died Tuesday April 29, 2014 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. She was born October 12, 1935 in Moline, IL the daughter of the late Lyle and Lillian "Lavona" Davis Shaffer. Ms. Gomez was employed for over 22 years at John Deere in the parts department. She loved spending time with her family, going to the casino's, vacationing in Hawaii and collecting Daffy Duck memorabilia. Survivors include her children; Patricia(Wesley)Sellers, Moline, IL, Pamela Gomez, Moline, IL, Barbara(Scott)McShane, Rock Island, IL, Victoria Gomez, Moline, IL and Anthony(Debbie)Gomez, East Moline, IL, grandchildren; Melissa Sellers(Ransom Howard),Moline, IL, Tyler Sellers(Lyndi Sayre), Moline, IL, Paul Sellers(Kami Little), Silvis, IL, Hali Riley, PA and Colin Riley, Germany, great grandchildren; Kenzie Maynard and Ryder Howard. She is also survived by may nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
