Quinn A. Hess, 76, of East Moline, IL, formerly of Rock Island, IL, went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, after a prolonged illness. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Quinn was born May 10, 1938, in Moline, IL, the son of Glenn and Gwen Kissell Hess. He married Pat Wiederkehr September 25, 1954, in Davenport, IA. He had worked for the former Buddy L. Corp, East Moline, and retired from J.I. Case, Bettendorf, IA. After retirement he and his wife traveled selling antiques, as Pat's Antiques. Quinn loved the Bible, reading from it every day. He had been a history buff, who specialized in the U.S. Civil War. He was fascinated with antiques, and enjoyed doing restorations. He was a member of Foursquare Church, East Moline where he served on the Church Council and was a Deacon. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pat Hess, East Moline; daughter, Patti (James) Carlson, Ottawa, IL; grandchildren, Eric (Jill) Stalf, Lanson (Stephanie) Stalf, and Emily (Lawernce) Taylor; great grandchildren, Carrington, Autumn, Ellen, Jude, Kaiden, and Connor; sister, Nancy Jackson, Blossom, TX.
