Funeral services for Rachel Mary Anderson, 89, East Moline, are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. Anderson died Friday, December 15, 2006 at her daughter Joyce's home in Clinton, IA. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church, East Moline. Rachel was born July 15, 1917 in Perryville, MO, the daughter of Rush and Mary (Gibbar) Thompson. She married Russell Anderson, September 23, 1953 in East Moline. He died October 9, 1992. Rachel worked for 30 years at the former International Harvester Works, East Moline. Rachel found great joy in the companionship of her dog Buddy. Survivors include her daughter Joyce A. Murphy, Clinton, son Gerald A. DeGrande, Geneseo, five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
