ATKINSON- Ralph Lee Johnson, 80, a lifetime resident of the Quad City area, died Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Hammond Henry Hospital in Geneseo.

Private final arrangements are being made by the family and Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.

Ralph Lee Johnson was born November 1, 1940, in Hampton, Illinois. He retired after 30 years with John Deere & Company.

Ralph Lee was preceded in death by his father, Roy Johnson and his mother Marie Engle; his sister, Maxine Malmstrom and her husband Richard Malmstrom; his sister Joanne Schlegel and her husband Raymond Schlegel; and nephew, Michael Malmstrom.

Survivors include one brother, Martin Johnson (Marilyn), Ellerslie, GA; 12 nieces and nephews, Valerie Edge of Plum City, WI; Dr. Laurie Malmstrom of Campobello, SC; Steve Kazenske (Melody) of LeClaire, IA; Paula Venema (Mike) of Des Moines, IA; Jae Malmstrom of Inman, SC; Alan Malmstrom of Campobello, SC; Marty Malmstrom (Panisa) of Campobello, SC; Mitchell Malmstrom (Annie) of Orlando FL; Lea Bryan of Nashville, TN; Martin Johnson Jr (Joy) of Las Vegas, NV; Matthew Johnson of Ellerslie, GA; Melanie Reiney (Brad) of Midland, GA; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Ralph Lee will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
