Funeral services for Ralph Nichols, 59, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, will be 11:00AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Nichols passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at his home, surrounded by many family and friends. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. Ralph was born September 30, 1953 in Alexis, IL, the son of Marion and Lola Alvin Nichols. He married Cheryl Cooksey January 17, 1976 in Rock Island, IL. He later married Judy Mason March 3, 2005 in Davenport, IA. Ralph worked for Eagles Return Center, Milan, IL. He later worked for Merchants Wholesale, Milan. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, bowling, and spending time with family and friends. He loved his grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Judy Nichols, Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Jen Nichols, Davenport; sons, David Nichols, Moline, IL, and Steven Nichols, Macon, MO; stepsons, David, Stephen, and Brian Barnett, all of Rock Island; 6 grandchildren; sister, Linda (Ed) Vaughn, Cordova, IL, Patty Hubbard, Hampton, IL, Connie Nichols, Rock Island, and Elizabeth (Arnold) Pappas, Moline; brothers, Lonnie (Tina) Nichols, Macon, and Mike (Pat) Nichols, Colona, IL; several nieces and nephews.
