Randy V. Carmichael Sr., 63, of Moline, died June 26, 2014 at Unity Point Health, Rock Island. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 1, from 5-7PM at Central Baptist Church, Moline, with services to follow. Memorials may be made with flowers. Randy was born August 30, 1950 in Moline, to Barbara Ruth and Virgil Clyde Carmichael. He married Nina B. Hicks on April 2, 1973, together they had 3 sons, Randy Jr., Jason and John. Randy first started working at Farmall until 1982, then worked at the East Moline Speedway until he opened his own auto body repair center. He operated R&R Auto Body until he became disabled. Randy had a great love for his family and friends. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR and supported local dirt track racing. He is survived by his mother Barbara Ruth Upton, Silvis, his only brother Garry Carmichael, Silvis, his boys, Randy and Ashliegh, Cresthill, IL, Jason and Kim, Moline and John and Brooke, East Moline, grandchildren, Zack, Brittany, Hannah, Alysa, Gavyen, Cayden, Lillian, Allison, Caleb and Chase, his great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kali Nina, and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his beloved dog, Lilly Bell. He was preceded in death by his father Virgil, wife Nina, and his beloved sister-in-law Lea Carmichael.
