Randy L. Horton, 74, of East Moline, passed away May 21, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis, Silvis.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, May 30, 2025, at National Cemetery, Rock Island.  A visitation will be held from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, following visitation we will process to National Cemetery for graveside service.  A Celebration of Life Gathering will start at 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at The Rust Belt, 533 12th Avenue, East Moline, IL.

Randy was born on June 25, 1950, the son of Rosco "LeRoy" and Virginia (Heaton) Horton.  He married Nancy Hendricks on June 26, 1971, in Moline.  Randy was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army.  Randy worked for Rock Island Railroad and Canadian Pacific Railroad Companies until his retirement.  Randy was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears fan.  He was an outdoor enthusiast and could be found fishing or hunting.  Randy was a devoted and loving grandfather who cherished his time with his grandchildren and going to all their events.

Randy is survived by his wife, Nancy Horton; son, Bryan (Michelle) Horton; daughter, Carrie (Andy) Meuer; grandchildren, Brady (Gabby) Gates, Zachary (Cass) Gates, Alleigh Gates, Camren (Albert) Meuer, Hayden Horton, and Beckett Meuer; siblings, Neal, Jill, and Jay Horton.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
