Randy "Goober" Phillips, 53, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday. April 6, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. His family will have a memorial service for Randy at a later date. He was born April 17, 1957 in Moline, IL, the son of Ronald and Audrey Anton Phillips. Randy worked at the Quad City Downs East Moline. He was also a mechanic. He enjoyed stock car racing and had helped in the pit crew for Ron Marks. Survivors include his mother, Audrey Phillips, of Silvis: father, Ronald Phillips (Mary King) of East Moline, sisters, Ronny (Les) Stout of East Moline, Rosalie Stephens of Davenport, IA, Rae Lynn (Dennis) Sawvell of Davenport; brothers, Ricky and Tracy Phillips of Moline, Rene Phillips of Pensacola, FL; his girl friend, Betty Schmidt of East Moline.
