Raymond Pershy, 83, Milan, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Heartland Health Care, Moline. Funeral services are 1 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. A memorial fund has been established. Ray was born on September 18, 1931 in Lucas County, IA, the son of John and Daisy (Beal) Pershy. He married Doris Robinson in August of 1959. She died on April 22, 1964. He married Patricia Brown on March 12, 1971 in Davenport. Ray served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Oscar Mayer for 23 years. He then owned and operated Ray's Refrigeration. He enjoy hunting, fishing, and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Pat, a brother John Pershy, Silvis, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, infant daughter Rebecca, and brothers, Frank, James and Charles.
