Rebecca L. "Becky" Kays, 54, of Moline, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at her home.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Rebecca was born September 5, 1967 in Silvis, Illinois, a daughter of Walter, Jr. and Sharon Tisdale Kays.

She was employed for many years with DCS Sanitation, Joslin, IL.

Becky was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed baseball and softball, coaching her daughter's team for a time, and being her children's number one fan when they played. She would often be heard coaching from the stands. She also loved animals, her pets, wolves, and watching animal shows on TV.

Becky, fondly referred to as "Redecca" by her family, will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mom, grandma, life companion, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are her daughter, Katy Kays, Port Byron, IL; son, Cody Kays, Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Alaina "Tinky" and Jackson "Jack Jack"; life partner, Les Horn, Rock Island; sisters, Lori (Mike) Spray, Taylor Ridge, IL, Kelly (Mike) Ragona, Bettendorf, IA and Karen (Doug) Lanzen, Port Byron, IL; and many nieces, nephews and other family.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kevin Lothridge.
