Rebecca S. Bruce, 67, of Moline, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her son's home. Funeral services will be at 3 pm, Monday, August 23, 2021 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made out to the American Cancer Association.

Rebecca was born October 6, 1953 in Trenton, MO, the daughter of Eugene and Betty (Lemon) Grimes. She married Ronald Bruce, October 16, 1971 in Moline. She loved building garages with her husband, and later working as a hostess at QCA Family Restaurant for 19 years. Rebecca loved fishing, crocheting, having the perfect yard, but most of all, she loved spending time with family, and her dog, Peanut.

Survivors include her children, Brian (Cindy) Bruce, Coal Valley, IL, Candice (Matt) Slovack, Colona, IL; siblings, John (Tracy) Grimes, Davenport, IA, and Lisa Harden, East Moline, IL; grandchildren, Austin, Samantha, Nathan, Braden, and Linda; 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, her parents, and a brother, David Grimes.
