Reese M. Constant, 82, of Moline, IL, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA. Funeral services are 10:00 am Thursday at First United Presbyterian Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., East Moline, IL. Interment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Reese was born April 10, 1935 in rural Aledo, IL, son of Max and Elmarene Constant. He married Mamie Brown in 1953, and later married Marjorie E. Ryan, on October 30, 1976 in Rock Island, IL. Mr. Constant worked as a Market Manager for Jewel-Osco for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed snowmobiling with his friends. His memberships include the First Presbyterian Church in Seaton, IL, and the Milan Rifle Club. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Marjorie, son: Jeff Constant of Illinois City; 2-stepchildren: Maryann (Stephen Varsa) Ryan of Nevada, IA; and Marvin Ryan of Silvis; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 2 brothers: Tony (Linda) Constant of Aledo, and Marc (Kate) Constant of Germantown, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Neven Fenton and Hal Castens. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister: Carol. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan.
