Rene "Clyde" Martin, 64, Moline, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island. Graveside services are 2:30PM Tuesday at Rock Island National Cemetery, with military honors. Anyone wishing to attend should meet at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline at 2PM. Clyde was born January 7, 1947 in Moline, the son of Rex and Margaret (DeKeyrel) Martin. He married Brenda Meincke in 1971. They later divorced. Clyde served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a mail sorter at the Rock Island Post Office. He was a true friend and dearly loved his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his sisters: Mary Ann (Tom Croft) DeGraeve, Las Vegas, NV, and Colleen (James) Gomez, Hampton, nieces and nephews; Anna Lane, Michael DeGraeve, Phil Gomez, Julie Webster, Chrissy Cruz, Joe Gomez, Debbie Schweska and Jennifer DeGraeve, his life partner Bill Segura, Moline and special friends Rick Holliday and Anna Ceoursey.
