Renee C. King, 69, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, in Melbourne.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, where visitation will be one hour prior to services from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.

Renee was born December 21, 1956, in Ottumwa, Iowa, a daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Cook) Beverly.

She was a proud U.S. Army veteran and additionally served in the Army Reserves. Renee retired at the rank of Master Sargeant, with over 25 years of service.

Renee loved to cook and entertain. Some of her favorite times were hosting family and friends and making memories. She will fondly remembered and greatly missed by all.

Surviving are her son, Anthony Beverly; daughter, Ashleigh Beverly; grandchildren, Xavier Cribbs, Marqui Beverly and Ashton Fox; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Gladys; and her sister, Chriscille Wyatt.
