Funeral services for Reva A. De Porter, 94, Silvis, are 9 AM Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM. Memorials may be made to her church. Reva died Sunday, October 9, 2005 at Aspenwood Health Care, Silvis. Reva Hull was born, April 1, 1911 in Silvis, the daughter of Delbert and Helen Barr Hull. She married Maurice De Porter, October 5, 1935 in East Moline. He died December 17, 1972. Reva worked in inventory control for 30 years at the former Eagle Food and at Kraft Food. She was an outstanding cook and baker. She was very devoted to her many grandchildren, and had been a Chicago Cubs fan since her childhood. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Del and Jan De Porter, Geneseo, and Greg and Deanna De Porter, Colona, thirteen grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren, and a sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Chuck Strooband of Moline. In addition to her husband, a sister Jeannette Pritchard and a brother Glen Hull precede her in death. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com
