Reyes R. Jimenez, 78, East Moline, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. A memorial fund has been established. Reyes was born on January 6, 1937 in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico, the son of Hilario and Tomasa (Renteria) Jimenez. He married Rosita Olalde on August 23, 1986 in Rock Island. Survivors include his wife Rosita, children, Reyes Jimenez, Jr., East Moline, Lupe Jimenez, East Moline, Raul Jimenez (Fidelia Herrera), Moline, and Rachel Atilano, Chicago, step-daughter, Ophelia Quevedo, Chicago, Julio, Rita, Maga, Delia, and Hilario, grandchildren, Oceanna, Iyonna, Donte, Yolanda, Roberto, Maria Luz, Eddie, Yvette, Elizabeth and Eric, and siblings, Felipa Vargas, Esteban Jimenez, Jose Jimenez, Humberto Jimenez, Martha Rodriguez, Juan Jimenez and Maria Chavez. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Luis Rey and sister Juanita
