Funeral services for Richard "Dick" Clauson, 77, of Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Clauson died Monday, April 28, 2008 at home. Memorials may be made to New Kingdom Trail Riders or to a favorite charity. Dick was born January 26, 1931 in Moline, IL, the son of Rueben and Regina (Gaverth) Clauson. He married Jean Newberg August 4, 1950. She died July 19, 1985. He later married Barbara "Trigg" Thompson June 20, 1987 in Moline, IL. He retired as an insurance adjuster from Pekin Insurance in 1992. Survivors include: his wife, Trigg Clauson of Moline; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Dennis Thomson of Boise, ID; sons and daughters-in-law, Rich Clauson of Boise, ID, Greg and Robin Clauson of Destin, FL, Gary and Ginny Clauson of Colona, IL, Kevin Clauson of Eagle ID; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Chris Thompson of Washington, D.C., David and Frances Thompson of New Orleans, LA; sister, Marilyn Eadens of Titusville, FL.
