Richard C. "Dick" DeKeyper, 82, Moline, passed away on July 22, 2013 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Memorial services are 11 AM Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. A memorial fund has been established. Richard was cremated, according to his wishes, and private family committal will be held at a later date. Dick was born November 1, 1930 in Moline, the son of Richard C. and Irene (Horney) DeKeyper. He graduated from Sacred Heart School, Moline in 1944, graduated from St. Ambrose Academy, Davenport in 1948, and attended Black Hawk College, Moline. He married Patricia DeGheselle on February 14, 1953. He managed a Dairy Queen in Gary Indiana until 1956. He had been employed by Lioen and Schultz Menswear, Moline and Uptown National Bank of Moline. He then served 30 years at Citizens Federal Savings and Loan, retiring as Vice President. He loved to play bridge and was an avid reader. He had been a 20 year plus member and past president of the Davenport Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife Patricia, children, Anna (Rick) Impens, East Moline and Fran DeKeyper, Austin, TX, grandchildren, Jana (Kyle) Anderson, Bardstown, KY, Aaron Impens, Lincoln, NE, and Brett (Anne) Impens, Charlotte, NC, and great grandchildren, Trenton Impens and Dominic Impens. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
