Obituary

Richard “Dick” F. Ostrowski, 90, of East Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at MercyOne- Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 12th, at Our Lady of Grace Parish at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Interment will be at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired, Jacksonville, IL.

Dick was born August 2, 1935, in Moline, Illinois, to Stanley and Florence (Larson) Ostrowski. He married Nancy M. Nitzel on January 28, 1956, in East Moline, IL.

He was a U.S. Army veteran. Dick owned and operated Twin States Machine Tool Company, Moline, for many years.

Some of Dick’s favorite times were fishing and spending time with family and friends at his summer home in Bagley, WI, making many wonderful memories.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy, of East Moline; children, Michael Ostrowski, Bettendorf, IA, Christine Butler, Phoenix, AZ, and William “Bill” (Belinda) Ostrowski, East Moline; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Hawkins, Silvis, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and their families. He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Ostrowski; parents, Stanley and Florence; brother, Walter Ostrowski; and brother-in-law, Howard “Lucky” Hawkins.

Dick’s family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks to a special friend, Roxanne Coulson, for her kindness and care of Dick and Nancy.
