Richard "Dick" Haggard, 88, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island. Visitation is 12 PM until 3 PM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Graveside services are 1PM Sunday at Early Cemetery, Mercer, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Moline Foursquare Church. Dick was born on June 11, 1929 in Mercer, MO, the son of Oral and Marie (Durham) Haggard. He married Barbara Hutchins on March 24, 1951 in VanBuren, AK. She died January 22, 2001. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of East Moline Foursquare Church. Survivors include his children, Johnny (Abby) Haggard and E. Joe Haggard, both of Worthington, OH; daughter-in-law, Denise Haggard, Moline; grandchildren, Colleen (Nate) Rogers, Jason (Luisana) Haggard, Sheena (Bradley) Koebel, Erin Haggard, Emily (Jason) Arbogast and Sean Haggard; great grandchildren, Max, Eila, Crosby, Bella, Matt and Jillian, and a brother Jerry (Freeda) Haggard, Redding, CA. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son Billy and siblings, Carolynn, Billy, Max and Dorothy.
