Richard "Dick" Harmening, 78, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at his home. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private committal services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Dick was born June 22, 1930 in Moline, IL, the son of Henry "Red" and Dorothy (Harsch) Harmening. He married Laurel (Sabins) Redfearn August 19, 1972 in Peoria, IL. He had owned and operated Rex-Aire Communication and Transportation, East Moline. He was a diehard Ford man. Survivors include: his wife, Laurel; daughters, Susan, Cathy, Janice, Jane, Laurel, Gail, and Joan; sons, Todd, Gary, Steve, and Donald B.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Don; several nieces and nephews.
