Richard L. Noe , 86, of Silvis, IL, passed away Friday March 7, 2025, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

In accordance with his wishes, private entombment will be at the Mausoleum at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Van Hoe Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to QC Paws for the Rock Island County Animal Shelter

Richard was born June 17, 1938, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Oscar and Selma (Loete) Noe. He married Janice M. Lauritzson on October 3, 1959, in East Moline, IL.

He was an assembler at John Deere, Harvester Works, East Moline, for 32 years and a member of U.A.W. Local 865.

Richard was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. He was a volunteer for United Way Quad Cities for 20 years. He was an avid bowler for most of his life.

Surviving are his wife, Janice, of Silvis; sisters-in-law, Marie (Robert) Taylor, Austin, MN, Nancy Larsen, Orion, IL, and Julia Lauritzson, Conway, AR; brother-in-law, Thomas (Sue) Shipman, Port Byron, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, and their families; special cousin, Theresa (Robert) Ricketts, Geneseo, to whom he and Janice were very close, and other cousins and family.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Selma; brother-in-law, John Lauritzson; and sister-in-law, Ruthann Carey, and her husband Jack.
