Funeral services for Richard L. “Rick” McEniry, 68, of East Moline, IL, will be 7 PM Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday prior to services at the funeral home. As per Rick’s request, everyone is encouraged to dress casual and wear his favorite sport team's apparel. Mr. McEniry passed away peacefully Thursday, February 12, 2026 in East Moline, surrounded by family.

Rick was born June 21, 1957 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Robert and Nancy Townsend McEniry. He married Marguerite “Peggy” Williams June 7, 1980, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Moline, IL. She passed away September 16, 2023.

He retired from the former ALCOA, Riverdale, IA, in 2025, after 46 years of service.

Rick enjoyed bowling and playing golf, he also loved watching his granddaughters play softball, basketball, volleyball, track and swim. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Celtics, Cubs, Cowboys, and Blackhawks.

Survivors include his children, Richard “Todd” (Rachael) McEniry, Rolling Meadows, IL, and Anne McEniry, East Moline; granddaughters, Cali and Heather; sister, Susan Hines, Andalusia, IL, sisters in law Micki (Mike) Hancock, East Moline,IL; and 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
