A service to celebrate of life of Richard "Dick" Seibel Sr., 73, formerly of East Moline, is 2PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 2 hours prior to services. Private family committal services will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, IA. Mr. Seibel died Friday, August 04, 2006 at Aspen Rehab and Health, Silvis. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to purchase a hide-a-bed for the Hospice room at Aspen, has been established. Richard was born September 4, 1932 in Davenport, IA, the son of Carl and Jeanette (Wagner) Seibel. He married Donna Wilson Francis, December 11, 1976 in Milan, who preceded him in death August 21, 1988. With their marriage, and a future adoption Richard became a father of 6. As a father he enjoyed an occasional rock concert and spontaneous vacations with the kids and their friends. He was a sports lover, especially when it came to the Hawkeye's and Cub's. He retired May 1, 1988 from Eagle's Warehouse, Milan. He was a charter member of the Milan Lions Club. Survivors include children and spouses Shirley Saemisch, Moline, Susan Francis, East Moline, Eugene "Chip" and Suzie Francis, East Moline, Eric "Butch" and Shiela Francis, Geneseo, Erin and Annamarie Seibel, Alameda, CA and Derrin and Shauna Seibel, Geneseo, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister Marcia Hullinger, Davenport, and brothers Jim, AZ, Bill, Dennis and Terry, all of Davenport.
