Ricky E. Setser Sr., 66, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Genesis-East, Davenport.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Ricky was born on February 26, 1959, in Macomb, IL, the son of Lawrence and Erma (John) Setser.  He worked as an over the road truck driver.  Ricky was a diehard race fan, especially dirt track, where he could be found most weekends.  He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan, and enjoyed going fishing.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ricky is survived by his children, Ricky (Regan) E. Setser II, Waylon Setser, Stefanie (Brandon) Guy, Gage (fiancé, Shawna Leprevost), and Jennifer Newkirk; grandchildren, Brandon (Chyna) Setser, Mathew Setser, Damon Setser, Blake Setser, Taylor Setser, Tiffany Setser, Jade Guy, David Guy, Lunden, and Kaylee; great grandchildren, Makenzi, Carter, Adalynn, and Caleb; siblings, Mike (Cindy) Setser, Jeff (Mindy) Setser, Kathy (Ron) Stephens, Patricia Castillo, Pam (Bill) Berthoud, and Laura (David) Lessard; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gary, Larry, and Vicky; and granddaughter, Kadie Setser.
