Robert A. "Bob" DeMeulenaere, 70, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Visitation will be 4:30-7:30 PM Friday (today) at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private graveside services will be held at the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa Cook Hospice House or to the family for a nursing scholarship at Black Hawk College, Moline, IL. Bob was born August 23, 1938 in Gross Point MI, the son of Jerome and Paula (DeBlaere) DeMeulenaere. He married Diane (Perry) Graham in 1965 in Galesburg, IL. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from John Deere Harvester in May of 1994 after 30 years of service. He had been an active member of the Silvis Eagles, where he had served as past president. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Lionel McCallister of Rapids City, IL, Amy and Gary Alley of Silvis, IL, Laurie and Gary Ricketts of Rapids City, Kathleen Schumacher and Marty Adlefinger of Port Byron, IL, Theresa and Rick Crouch of Davenport, IA; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Mary Graham of Davenport; 11 grandchildren.
