Robert J. Fluegel, 82, of Colona, IL, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at his residence.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Private inurnment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Robert was born on September 25, 1942, in Moline, the son of Henry and Helen (VanLoo) Fluegel.  He retired from John Deere Inc., as a mechanic.  Robert was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army.  Bob loved restoring his Galaxie and Thunderbird and enjoyed taking them to car shows where he won many trophies.  When he wasn't doing that he could be found enjoying time in his yard simply mowing the grass.  He was a lover of golf and fishing as well.

Robert is survived by his children, Marc Fluegel, Amy Page, and Jason (Rea) Fluegel; and grandchildren, Kailey, Delaney, Zoe, Logan and Elijah.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Emiel Fluegel.
