Graveside services for Robert Garcia, 68, of Colona, IL, will be 2:30 pm Monday at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling, IL. Visitation will be 10:00-noon Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mr. Garcia died Friday, June 22, 2018, at Genesis, East Davenport, IA. Bob was born November 15, 1949, in Sterling, IL, the son of Robert and Gladys Fisher Garcia. He married Sandra "Sandy" Daggett April 17, 1998, in Moline, IL. He retired after 35 years of service from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 25. After retirement he was an instructor in their apprenticeship program for 7 years. He enjoyed traveling and wintering with his wife in Texas. He always looked forward to his annual fishing trip with some of his lifetime friends. The most important thing to Bob was his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Garcia, Colona; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
